how do you lower pH fast?

is there something i can get that will make my pH higher? but not pH up, im already using that and it doesnt work fast enough. i think the acidity is due to too many babies peeing in the water.

well if its from to many babies peeing in the water that may mean you have high ammonia and if you raise your pH it will become a LOT more toxic. You can use baking soda to raise your KH

this site tells you how to do it.

The best answer to your question is to tell you not to obsess over pH at all. If the water is not too high in total dissolved solids, and has a measurable GH the pH is of very minor concern. As far as fish pee is concerned.........have you ever tried to change the water level in the ocean that way? Same effect.

[QUOTE=mlpzaq52;331623 due to too many babies peeing in the water.[/QUOTE]

Thanks! For some reason that statement had me laughing until my sides hurt! For a minute I started wondering if we were talking about a swimming pool!?!

On the other hand, if you really believe it's due to too many fish, adult or babies, then you need more water changes not chemicals. You can increase how often you perform the water change or how much you're removing. Also, test the tank and test the tap water after it's been sitting out for a day; how much of a difference is there?
