A Planted Koi Tank?

Hello!

I've been playing around with adding live plants to my exisisting koi tank. It's a 180 that receives daylight all year round. I was thinking about supplemental lighting, such as MH pendants, or possibly just a couple PC's or VHO's on top. I have a couple vals (the gigantic types) in there right now-but the koi usually get to them and chew down the new growth. Would anubias do well under this setup? Any other plants, or suggestions? Is this idea even possible? Thanks!

check out these sites.look at the section on the right for not eaten by herbivorous fish.Tropica
Herbivorous Fish Plants
they both have most of same species listed.
I have some gold fish with some of these plants and so far so good. I don't know if koi would not eat them though since they are bigger. they may knock some over when first planting them(tie weights to them) or break while swimming them so be careful where you put them.
