Ever seen "Angel Rams"?

I guess they are bred in Asia. A LFS has these really cool "Angel Rams" which have long fins, almost like a fancy Goldfish, except they are a Cichlid - they look like a German Blue Ram. Pretty cool and very colorful. I'm not sure they are viable for breeding. Anyone ever seen them??

I also got an unsexed young pair of Apisto Borelli for $5.99 each, a score I thought! Like I need more Apistos! I think I'm going to break out that new little Eheim Ecco I bought for my surface extractor that I don't need anymore. Set up another 15 gallon tall. For now the A. Borelli are in with my Cherry Shrimp and some Julie Corys in a 26 Bowfront.

I wonder if those are the same thing as balloon rams. They are long finned rams with shorter, stubbier bodies than normal.

Yeah, that bears a definite resemblance. Might be the "Veil tailed" variety mentioned in the article. I'll try to get a shot on Sunday if I can get up to that store in Bellingham. Good detective work Cheryl.

I think I ended up with two male Borelli. The bigger one is very aggresively chasing the smaller. Maybe I'll take the little guy back and see if they have a female candidate. They are too small to sex yet.

Lynn, I have no breeding experience, nor a setup or time. I may try it down the road...If I get fry, I doubt they'll survive, but if I do I'll let ya know!
