I am a horrible murderer!

I finally broke down and decided to give my Annubias a bleach bath. They had become overrun with BBA during a period of poor maintanence and I figured I would finally put an end to it.

I made my 1/20th solution and grabbed the first Annubia encrusted piece of driftwood, shook it, then submerged it in the bleach soln.

Well....My last remaining Zebra Loach was somehow burrowed into the plant or wood. He endured 2 minutes of bleach soln before he jumped out on the floor.

I am pretty sure he died a horrible, slow, painful death.

Sorry to hear that

Well, on the brightside, since it was unintentional you're a horrible manslaughterer...or would that be fishslaughterer?

Not trying to make light of it, just sometimes a little humor helps.

I'm so sorry to hear that pbohart! I cried all day when I accidentally CO2 nuked my entire 110 gallon full of fish. I killed fish that I had had since highschool (and that was awhile ago!). It always sucks to feel like you are responsible for the death of your pets, even if it is unintentional. I totally know how you feel. *hugs*

My apologies... unfortunately unintentional losses do occur. Hope things get better.

I have pulled the driftwood out of my tanks many times for various reasons. Even when I inspected them thouroghly, I cant remember a time when there wasnt a yoyo loach hidden in em somewhere. I have a few times found a yoyo lying at the bottom of the plastic tote I placed the driftwood in a good half hour to an hour later. Seems like loaches really like hiding in stuff you remove from the tank...maybe they think thier trying to escape or something lol.
