aquascaping ideas

I'm in the final planning stages of my office tank. I decided to go with the 24g Aquapod instead of the 12g. It's 64W, and I will be running CO2. This is my first planted tank, so I need some suggestions on actual plants used.

I've sketched out a plan for my aquascape, and I figure that five plant species will be enough (I'm a minimalist ). I need one species that will reach the top, one that goes most of the way to the top, one of medium height, one medium sized red to be the "spotlight", and some kind of carpet. Please remember this is only a 24g, so no HUGE plants . Also, please make sure they are high-light species.

Thanks.

Cambomba would make a nice tall plant and they do best in high light. I like carpets of Java or HG best although they can be a pain.

There's a list of different sized plants with pictures at this website.Aquarium Plants Photos & Profiles at the Age of Aquariums - Tropical Fish My favorite plants are aponogetons which can get tall, wisteria ( which can be tall and you can keep it midsized by trimming and propogating) java moss, chain swords, and hairgrass are foreground plants. But it's up to you to decide what type you like and their difficulty level.
I hope this helps.
