I want to build DIY filter for nano 8 liter aqurium

There have been some discussions about small DIY filters. Search around the DIY section here and and APC. It's possible but your biggest challange is finding a container that has a good seal and creating a seal on the hose fittings.

Then you pretty much have one tube that is sent all the way to the bottom of the container. This is our return. Fill a little bit of ceramic filer media. Cap with pillow floss.

With the pump resting on the top of your container it will feed off the top of the filter floss.

There are plastic mesh materials at craft stores. Dunno what's availabe in ISR though. Use this for the top to keep the floss from getting in your pump.

That's kind of the quick and dirty. Good luck.

Made one in the summer time that i still havent used. I mjust about to start using it on my stump dual nano setup just as biological culture. I drilled holes smaller than the tubing, sliped the tubing in DIY co2 style. I used a smalll tupperware container tested it and it worked great! I will get a pic as soon as i set it up later this week.
