Jane's ROAK aquarium

Finally here it is a pic of the aquarium that everyone donated to.
Special thanks to Kevin & Coooper who donated massive amounts of plants.

Any comments or suggestions welcome.

Thumbs up

It looks very nice... What kind of light, substrate, and CO2 are you using?

my suggestions is to give a little more space for the 2 swords and to put some Anubias or moss on the rocks ( I have alot of anubias, so if you need some )

She bought a coralife 96 w freshwater compact florescent.
regular gravel mixed with some laterite. and a hagen ladder with diy co2
going low tech I will fertilize for her 1 every other week for now. we put a coffefolia at the base of the rocks and are thinking of some anubias down the road. Might take you up on that .
there is a piece of drift wood behind the big amazon with weeping moss on it as it grows out we will add some to the rocks. We also talked about some hair grass in the front of the tank.

oh one sword is a temp as it will be moved to the 2nd planted tank we will be starting soon a 30 I believe-she got bit by the bug

aww...I see it now,and here i was thinking that was a cryp. What is the plant in front of the N. lotus? A non-aquatic plant called 'purple waffer' or some thing like that?

yea i think that's what it's called- she bought it at the LFS
I told her to ask first lol (It's not her aquarium or anything)
I figure it should die soon and then I can replace it with the anubias (as originally planned).

Do you think I need to add more rocks or does the mound seem high enough?

You have a few months before it will die. They should have laws about selling non-aquatic plants to people new to the hobby

I like scapes with lots of hardscape.....so IMO more rocks can't be a bad thing
