Hey folks,

I've been looking for a source for "petite" nana. Does anybody know of a store? I've checked AquariumGarden, Aquatic-Store and Aquabid...

Thanks,
Ian

AquaBotanic.com has it and Robert gives a pretty large plant for the money. The first time I bought it I paid $5 for some very small plants with about 4 leaves. When I got more from AB I got plants with at least 15-20 leaves. It's a great little plant.

I want to be completely honest here so there is no mis understanding:

Every so often I get a complaint from a customer that the plants are too small, not big! Perhaps it is because they think they are going to get a whole handfull. Each plant is typically the size of a quarter, even if it has ten or 15 leaves on it. The leaves are tiny, The price is per plant.

Fishvet and I get them from the same place, at the same price, and sell them for the same price. The true petite nana only comes from one place in the orient. It is NOT a natural specie.

Beware of what you see in auctions. There is one guy who specializes in african plants selling a petite nana. This is NOT the same specie. His nana looks like normal nana to me. The true petite nana has VERY tiny leaves, no bigger than the fingernail on your pinky finger. It is a rare special hybrid that is imported from the Orient, not from Africa which is why it is so expensive.
