So you can make a lot of money selling it back to the store after it rampages through your tanks.

But most likely because you are in Hawaii and everything is going to be expensive that isn't native.

Aquascape? I'm a crypt farmer.

It's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore looking like an idiot.

That IS an aquascape, it's titled "The Vacant Lot".

I doubt you'll get much money from the LFS for it. The ones near me give next to nothing for plant trade ins.

My last trade in at the LFS resulted in an $83.00 store credit, four more like that and I can get a 120 gallon tank.

wow! I trade stuff in and get like $1 for 6 nice stems if I'm lucky. I've taken to giving them to friends or aquabidding them.

I would get 25% the selling price for trade ins. ...so I sell on aquabid now. Riccia is one of those plants that is in relatively high demand. Some areas have zero and others have surplus of the stuff.

Corkscrew val, crypt beckettii, crypt lutea, sag subulata, and I gave them some hair grass and a lace plant seedling for their planted display tank. I haven't quite got them convinced to let me redo their display tank for them.

Yeah! How many of the plants you listed did you trade in for $83?

Like George said, we get next to nothing for our trade ins. The plant guy at our LFS is a bit of a smart a$$ about trade ins. It is like he gets a commission on low plant trade ins. I brought in 16 bunches of baby tears, ten bunches of Rotala indica and at least two cups of pristine Riccia. The rat offered me $10!

For $83 you would need to bring in about 35 pounds of plants.

Mike

I traded in a bunch of plants, a bunch, if you saw the pics of my tanks in other threads I'll just say that those pics were after I thinned things out.
