I just found out why I have holes all over my Swords and also on some other plants.
At first I thought it was a nutrient deficiency, but it was affecting new leaves the worst - so much that all new growth is killed within a day.
Then I thought it must be snails, but I have 3 Clown Loaches that would eat any snails.
Then just last night I was watching the tank and I saw the culprit.
My smallest Clown Loach swam gracefully along a Sword clicking as he went. With each 'click' he put a hole in the leaf  I watched for about 2 minutes and he made about 4 holes.
I'm hoping it's a habit that he will grow out of :?

Welcome to the family of tolerant loach keepers! My Yoyos also like to click swords, leaving horseshoe-shaped holes. They just need to be entertained, after some clicking they might get tired of it and leave your plants alone, until the boredom sets in again
