Pennywort, cabomba, and ludwigia repens which are all stem plant which like medium to high light although they can be grown in low light. Hope that helps.

Yeah but it is best remove the leaves at the bottom as they will rot under the gravel. Good luck

Fishboy nailed it. Regarding stem plants: remove the leaves to expose at lease two or three nodules --where the leaves came out of the stem; the roots will grow from there.
