Using Ficus leaves in an aquarium?

I'm "new" to fish keeping, but I've kept reptiles for at least five years now. I've always collected the dead leaves off my chameleon Ficus tree. I can't find anywhere that someone has tried using them before, but I'm gonna give it a go. They're boiling at the moment. I'm too lazy to go find oak leaves lol. Is anyone else interested in this?

I've seen people use leaves and a large almond leaf in particular for biotope aquariums. It's not unheard of, but it is uncommon.

I wouldn't try it, the sap of ficus has toxic properties and is an irritant. The boiling might destroy those properties, but I'd stick to IAL/oak/maple leaves...
