Inserting root tabs

I did mine with my hands as well. So much easier than using my feet.

(!face palm!) SS 12" planting tweezers are cheap everywhere including F&S and Big Al's along with all the other online vendors. (they work better than my clumsy fingers LOL)

The root system is too thick to push the capsule in. The shell just ends up getting crushed when I try to push it down. But thanks for the info. I won't use my feet next time.

Maybe use a chopstick or something similar to poke a hole first, and then shove it in?

Harbor Freight has a set of five 6" SS tweezers for $3 that work great for installing root tabs.
