Help with new set up

Hi,

I am in the process of setting up a new 125 gallon tank (48 *24 *30). I intend to fill with Flourite Red mixed 50/50 with Kiln dried sand. Is this okay? Should I add anything else to the substrate. If so what?

I am also toying with the idea of a sump for a tank this size but have read this is depremental to a planted aquaria. If so would the largest Eheim Pro 2 do the job or should I go for the new Fluval XP5.

I guess for a tank this size I have to opt for a pressurised C02 system?

What wattage lights and what type should I fit for a tank 30 in deep should I use.

Ideas, advise, welcome as I am fairly new to this game.

Thanks

Stevie

Unfortunately this is beyond my budget but also I have to fit it in a 500mm *300mm space si this filter is a little too high unless it will still work ok at 45 degrees?

I think the Fluval might be too high soon checking on the spec.

Take a few minutes and read my Guide. And for lights I would guess that MH would be your best option. That or T5 with good reflectors.
