Post Fertilizer dosing

I know this might be a silly question but is it ok to dose fertilizer (Flourish, Leaf Zone, Flourish Trace, etc.) before the light comes on? My light is set to come on at every 12PM and by this time im at work already. I leave at 7am so im planning on dosing before i get to work. Is this ok to do? Will the plants even absorb the ferts w/o the lights? Thanks.

Hi, not so far away...
I have been dosing like that for well over a year and I don't see any detrimental affects on my plants or fish.

However, all the products you mentioned are micros.
You should be dosing macros as well, and I would drop the leaf zone, flourish trace (watered down flourish), and add in some Nitrate, Potassium and Phosphate AKA NPK.
Now, you don't have to go spend a small fortune on the seachem NPK products, you can, and they will work, but head over to www.gregwatson.com, and pickup some KNO3 and KH2PO4 at very good prices and start dosing some macros

I just bought:

KNO3
KH2PO4
K2SO4
CSM+B

Which is pretty much all you really need. I will see what it looks like when it arrives tomorrow. I am going to be dosing a 125 and if it looks like it will last as long as people say it will I would be happy to make you a package. You will save money on shipping, get a managable amount of each and I can recoupe of of my expense. If you are interested let me know.

I would just bag a % and ship it to you via USPS flat rate box. I think I should be about to fit a fair amount in a $6.50 box.

When I see what this looks like tomorrow when it gets here, I can then determine how much I need for the next 6 months or so. I am told that I have enough for quite some time.

I paid like $30 something for the entire order including shipping.

If you are not interested it is no big deal. Either way is fine with me..

To answer your question about PMDD, that is an old formulation without any phosphate in it. It is far better to dose the macros individually so you can adjust the dosage of any of them independently.

Ok, the box just got here. seems I ordered an extra bag of Mono Potassium Phosphate.
Kinda odd. He charges $10.89 shipping + $0.35 handling for UPS Ground but sends it Priority Mail.

So I will give you

1: 1 full bag Mono Potassium Phosphate (1 lb) $3.42 (my cost)
2: 1/2 bag Potassium Nitrate (1/2 lb) $1.20 (my cost rounded up)
3: 1/2 bag Potassium Sulfate (1/2lb) $1.20 (my cost rounded up)
4: 1/2 bag CSM+B Plantex (1/2lb) $4.50 (my cost rounded up)

Subtotal $10.32
Shipping $5.00
Total $15.32
If you arnt interested I am going to throw this up on the Swap & Shop. Please note, I do not have a scale but I will "eyeball" it to as close as I possibly can get it.

Prices fixed

I think i have enough Micro for now. Maybe just the 1/2 bag Potassium Nitrate, the bag of KH2PO4 & K2SO4 if you agree to the price. And how much for shipping for just this 3 items? Do you accept paypal? Thanks a lot.

Prices fixed. I would however like to sell it as a "package" so I can keep my amounts as uniform as possible.
