Flourish and Flourish Trace

Hello,

I have a question pertaining to Flourish and Flourish Trace. I currently fertilize my 20 gallon long with the seachem line of macro fertilizers (I will eventually go to GW) in addition to flourish and flourish iron. I have read about Flourish Trace and wondered if it is much different from Flourish. I need to place an order for more Excel and would like to order other items to save on shipping.

Is Flourish sufficient or do I really need to also use Flourish Trace?

Thanks for your help!

Trace contains Molybdenum, Sodium, Zinc, Rubidium, Nickel and Vanadium that's not in Flourish Comp. Trace also has Boron, Cobalt, Copper and Manganese that's also included in Flourish Comp.

Flourish Comp. contains these elements that are not in Trace: Nitrogen, Phosphate, Calcium, Magnesium, Sulfur, Chlorine, Iron and Manganese. Flourish also contains the compound Potash.

You can use the fertfriend calculator to calculate the different amounts of each: http://www.fishfriend.com/fertfriend.html

You can also see them at Seachem's site.
Flourish Comp.: http://www.seachem.com/products/prod.../Flourish.html
Trace: http://www.seachem.com/products/prod...rishTrace.html

I hope that this helps.

Don't buy trace...it's a waste. Nobody on this site uses it.

IMHO, Flourish and Flourish iron are all you need. Skip the Trace.
