yeah 2.5wpg is moderate, dont worry you'll see your plants growing and thriving with the help of GW ferts. you'll see the difference sooner

patrick, i have same setup as you, and without GW ferts i saw my plants thriving and growing, what more if i add the ferts, but ofcourse it depends on what plants you have, plants that need high light will grow at its minimum level and ofcourse plants that needs moderate lightning will show their maximum grow rate. i assume that you have proper substrate, co2, macro and micro ferts right? so no problem with that, just take care the happy plants

i have eco complete substrate, over 30 ppm of co2, 2.5 wpg, macro and micro ferts. plants consist of cobamba, ruffle sword, bacopa sp. crypt. spiralis, crypt. wentiis, tiger lotus, marsilea, anubias petite, and anubias coffefolia. not too needy of plants if you ask me.

the setup is fine, the plants are fine, so nothing to worry, Lights is only one of the basic needs, dont forget that good substrate and Nutrition will also help the plants to grow, so just relax, sit (dont forget your favorite drink), and enjoy i love to see the photos of your tank

What size is your tank again? 2.5wpg in a 10g is different than 2.5wpg in a 100g.

I usually start seeing results within 3-7 days after dosing change.

sweet. thanks. i also am having an issue with some bba and i keep pulling and trimming infected leaves so much that my tank is beginning to look bare. i hope the added ferts will not increase it anymore than it is now. as stated, my co2 is around 35-40ppm.

When you have trouble with BBA that is a very good indication that you don't really have enough CO2. Unless you have very expensive fish I suggest you increase the CO2 bubble rate a bit, while watching the fish, algae and plants carefully for a few days. If the fish don't seem to be upset, raise it a bit more and repeat until the BBA stops regrowing after you prune it out. If the fish show signs of discomfort before then, stop raising it and back off a bit. Then note the bubble rate and use that as your standard for setting the CO2.
