My little cafish tank.

I just came back from vacation. I stayed by a lake. 1 of my friends caght a baby bullhead catfish that is about 3 inches long. I also took some plants from there. I think they are 2 kinds of moss, and baby pickeral rush. I would have gotton horrnwort, but it as to far out, to get without swimming, which you weren't aloud to do, or a boat, which I didn't have. I am planning to make a biotope "Little Pond" tank.

that sounds sweet. did you bring back a water sample to test? ponds and lakes have different water chemistry than a moving water body.

Bullheads get 12+ inches, and live a very long time, so if you plan on keeping it get a big tank. You also need to be careful taking species from the wild, there are regulations as to size limits and seasons when species can be havristed. See my thread in the lounge of a tank I found on ebay

well if there are any fish in your planted tank consider them goners. my bullhead ate anything and everything it could fit its mouth on. on average it would eat about 8-10 goldfish in 20 minutes and be ok for a couple hours. O_o
