EI Dosing with low CO2

I just got my dry ferts in the mail last night and was thinking I might start my dosing regime this weekend after my water changes. I should be receiving my CO2 equipment sans bottle, so I was wondering if I could use my little Nutrafin bottle on my 50 and still be ok doing dry ferts or should I substitute excel in the place of CO2 for now or just wait till I get my pressurized system hooked up.

Good question.

Keep your lights adequate (not too high...not too low) for now. Once you get your co2 set up then you can start pumping the wattage in there.

I would take two initial measurements: 1. from your tap for nitrate, phosphate and kH 2. from your tank the same parameters.

IMO/IME no need to add too much now until you get your co2 started. Patience my friend.

Also, the key for EI is to make sure you have enough plants in there!!

Re-boot!
