I would like to get some dwarf hairgrass but I am unsure of how to plant it. I have tried it before and it did ok but it started dying off after about 7 months. I think it was due to the fact the stuff (some kind of wool) was rotting. All the hairdrass I see comes in pots with this wool stuff that it is planted in. Most other plants I can just pull it all off but the hairgrass is so fine that I have no luck doing it that way. Is there a simple way to seperate it and thn plant it?

It must be seperated from the wool and planted. Some of it may get damaged in the process but most of it should remain intact. Then seperate it into tufts of 20- 30 blades of grass and plant those with tweezers into the substrate 1/2" apart from each other so the can spread.

Getting wet is half of the point of the hobby! The other half is sitting back and enjoying the tank until you have to get up and get wet again because you want to move something to the other end of the tank. :hehe:

If you don't want to get wet use long tweezers and take some water out of the tank.

Aquascape? I'm a crypt farmer.

It's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore looking like an idiot.

That IS an aquascape, it's titled "The Vacant Lot".
