Big Als Is not Koo Koo, I am.(EDITED from they were koo koo)

Well I was doing my weekly search through Big Als and I said to myself "Hmm I think I need more laterite" So I went under the planting substrates and BAM!!! The prices hit my right in my face. I have my buckets for my fishtank by my computer so I decided to vomit. Check it out http://www.bigalsonline.ca/BigAlsCA/...wType=Category $35 for a bag of eco. Shipping better be included.

EDIT:

I am a dummy. I was looking at their canadian site.

Peace,
Ry

Vortex diatom for 169.00!!!

I noticed the other day that they changed the site a bit, must still have a few bugs.

Ry,

I'm glad you didn't take it down any sooner--I'd have missed it. I collect little puzzles like this for sponge activities.

You have it linked to their canadian site. The US site is still the same.

On the subject of Big Al's, did I miss something or are they no longer doing the points program? I see nowhere to check my points and the double-points banner for Weds/Thurs is no longer there.

Or maybe it's too late in the evening and I should look closer in the morning when I'm more awake...

Not only that, I was on there last night and my shopping cart would randomly empty when I tried adding something to it. Also, my VIP pts and order history seemed to be gone (I was logged in). Plus, for just a few items of food, it said about $37 in shipping!! That must be wrong. What gives?
Plus the double-pt Wednesday -timer thingy wasn't anywhere that I could see.

Yes, Wilder, I saw the same thing. VIP pts gone, no indication of double-pt Wednesday anywhere...and shipping seems waaaay too high.

I tried to make a web purchase from them 2 days ago and could not get past the "shipping address" page. After multiple attempts I called and placed the order over the phone. The sales rep fell all over himself politely apologizing about all the trouble they are having with their web site since they changed their ISP a few days ago.

Seems everything did not move over smoothly, and there are a lot of kinks they have to work out of their "new" website.

yeah, I probably would have thought about ordering too, but I was on the website filling out the order at about 12am last night/this morning.
Well, I kinda wish I hadn't, but I ordered my 9w turbo twist and some fish food off Drs F/S, since they also had some dog toys I was looking for. Don't get me wrong, they're good too, I just prefer bigal's for pretty much anything fish related.
