So what do you want for Christmas, planted-tank-related? And then what's on your list with all the tax return money flowing in, if any?

*******************

I am craving for a handheld pH tester... thinking of spending 50-80 bucks depending on the precision and life expectancy. Not sure which supplier/brand/model yet.

I want to increase water movement and filtration in my large tank, and perhaps get the CO2 diffused differently at the same time. Cheap as I am, I am thinking of a tiny powerhead stuck to an ugly sponge, but with some surplus cash I might get fancier.

I want to finally get those PO4 and kH tests that I should have but never bought.

Thinking about getting a good book, like the famous Kasselmann Aquarium Plants one.

Oh yeah, and a controller for my heater cable.

A little UV unit would be a nice addition to my tank too.

**********************

Chances are, my car will disintegrate in the next few weeks and all my wishes will be remaining on the list for Xmas 2020.

I'm mostly wishing for some fish! I want to increase the school of Rasboras threefold and get a nice school of Cardinals for the 20g.

My cars have been disintegrating over the past two months! I've replaced an AC compressor, Rebuilt my rear axle, Replaced Brakes, Needed an Alignment, Fuel Filter, the list goes on. Maybe I need to take it easy on my cars!

Like-wise on the pH meter. I'm so tired of counting drops. Just something I can stick in the water and get an accurate, quick reading. With 4 tanks, not only is it a pain with the drops, but I have to keep track of what test tube came from which tank. Whew!!!!
If anyone has a suggestion/experience with a reasonably priced one, I could use some feedback on this.

There are about a billion other things I'd like, but I'd settle for the pH tester.

Len

Len

Len,

Check out those guys http://www.aquariuminstruments.com
Also, Marc @ Aquatic-store has one I like, it is somewhat hidden in the controller section (not with the regular pH meters).

oooh my christmas list is extensive....
75 or 80 gallon aquarium + stand and hood & lights
5 lb CO2 bottle and setup
Canister filter for that size tank
about 50 lbs worth of driftwood
lots of laterite, gravel and sand
lots of plants

my wife has given me the most preciouse of gifts already... permission to setup my big dream tank! as all you married husbands and wives who keep fish would understand the phrase "not ANOTHER aquarium" is heard often from our significant others.

I can't believe I am writing this but, I don't need anything! I have two great filters, UV, an automated CO2 system, surface extractor, test kits, cleaning equipment, everything.....WAIT!!! I could use two more of the GE 9325K power compact bulbs!!!

I'm hoping that Santa will persuade my wife that it's fine to add a fourth tank once I've finsihed number three that's in the design stages at the moment! :P [I can't really complain - I know that she has already got me the XP3 that was on my list!]

I am hoping for world peace.. no I mean an HP CO2 system. I am hoping that it comes with a 2way manifold so I can run it to my future 50g tank.

I want a fish room, complete with automatic water changers in every tank and enough tanks to keep any kind of fresh water fish I ever wanted. Other than that I don't want anything.
