I am now making my list as to what I need for equiptment.
It came with a 48" Eclipse F40T10 bulb in the stock fixture.
I am looking at AHSupply for lights but I am a bit confused. I am thinking that the 2X96wt is where I am going to start (planning on adding more light next month ). But it states the reflectors are 34.5"L x 4"W. The problem being is I dont want a canopy so I am building an eclosure like this one
. and I wont be able to butt the bulbs end to end as my tank is 60" L.
Or am I missing something here?
Now I have an Ehiem 2026 Pro II and a Fluval 304 on my current tank and I can move one of them onto this tank as well, but I would rather only run a single canister. If I do move one it will be the Ehiem.
I cant offord to use the really good stuff, so I am thinking some sort of sand with peat underneath it.
Is this a good idea?
I am searching for a good quality inline external heater to attach to the XP3 but I am not finding to much. What would you recommend?
I am going to start with 2 (or more) 2liter bottles and glass diffusors and migrate over to a 10lb cylinder and inline reactor when I get the money.
Fish to be added
6 Discus, 4 Congo Tetras, Nice school of Rummy Nose Tetras, 4 or so SAE's, 6 yo-yo's and 6 cory's
I am on a fixed income (military disability) so I am kinda limited and dont want to waste money. I don't want to say later "I shoulda...."
All imput is greatly appreciated as I am still a n00b when it comes to planted tanks and the things I need. If I was going to go with a reef tank I would know exactly what I need as I have almost 20 yrs invested in that hobby..
