45g african biotope
i just want to run my plan by everyone to see what you guys think of it.
building stand and hood
five 6500k 30w t-8 bulbs totalling 150w=aproximately 3.3wpg.
rena xp2 canister with DIY CO2 using rex's inline reactor
aquatic plant soil with fine gravel/coarse sand layered ontop/mixed in (to add weight to hold the plants down)
SID! (Cteneopoma Acutirostre)
6 congo tetras
anubias barteri (coffeefolia and augustafolia)
crypt lucens (not african, but looks very similar to crypt nevillii, which is african, and its more redily available)
java moss (also not african, but it will add a cool atmosphere draped over the driftwood)
fairy moss (amazon, but one species is from africa, so i'm just using what i have)
frogbits (also amazon, but the roots look nice)
floaters will cover about 1/3 of the surface area of the tank.
any suggestions? this tank was meant to be a simple, low-light, low-tech tank, but it has quickly gotten entierly out of control! someone stop me!
