Hello All!

I am new to this forum, but not to fish-keeping. I currently have 2 tanks. One 15g planted, and a 37g being cycled. I am just here to get a little more info on things.

Hi Gerald, welcome to the Planted World. I seem to remember your name from a different forum, planted section. You will find a LOT of information @ The Planted Tank.

I'm new to FW plants (lots of SW experience), but my favorite stores are Aquatica in Tinley Park (marine only) and Deep Reef Aquatics in Downers Grove (good FW & plant selection).

I used to buy from Pet Pourri in Homewood all the time (late 80's) and only recently stopped in again after getting the FW plant bug. Their livestock looks really nice, though the plant selection was very limited when I was in.

Yeah, I go to PetPourri all the time, it has a great selection, and I agree te plant selection is limited. There is another pet store, Plaza Pet Shop. I think it is good for fish selection, and supplys, but not for plants. If you are wondering where it is, its on Halsted St. near Burger King.

Gerald the Mouse? As in:

I know a mouse and he doesn't have a house, I don't know why I call him Gerald. He's getting rather old but he's a good mouse.
