Might be too much $$$, but I like my 2217 from BigAls - about $120 after shipping if you catch the sales right.

58 gallon oceanic, Kessel 360 tun sun, pressurized co2, eheim pimp #179 - 2217 and diffuser

If you don't have a lot of $$$, I would also recommend the XP3. OR you can look around locally for left over Fluval 404's. Around here, they are going really cheap. They are not quite as nice as the XP3, but I think they would be adequate for your needs.

Filstar pimp #59 (shhhh on the Eheim)

Drs. Foster & Smith and PetSolutions have the XP3 on sale - $89.99. Not sure for how long...

Petsmart has the XP3 for $105 online, and the store will match that price. No shipping, no hassles.

I'd say read up on some reviews and after doing some homework/research you will know the choice you make is a good one. Here's an artical you can start off with since a lot of people here uses Fluvals and FilStars. Theres also a review on the Ehiem Pro II too if you decide to get one

FilStar XP3 vs. Fluval 404.

- 40G Planted Tank
- Coralife: Turbo Twist 9W UV
- Coralife: 2 6700K - 192W
- Eheim 2215
- Hagen Fluval 404
- Pressurized CO2
- Hydor Inline Heater
- Aqua Medic Reactor 1000
- 100% Eco-Complete
