[Needed] Photos of moss

Hi

I've recently asked you guys for help with my website, and here I am again.

I need photos of moss. Any moss, any setup, macroshots, normal shots, moss on wood, on rocks, floating, dancing, jiggelig, wriggeling, flying ....getting carried away here..

Any photo will do, and you will get your name on the shot of course with ©.

Send them to [email protected] or send me pm, link, anything.. even just posting them in this thread.

Again, I greatly appreciate any effort you put in to this.

btw, the website is in Danish, but you're free to look through it..

High Regards,

Martin

I could take some new pictures of that "Petco moss" too, it has grown a lot in my tank. Now when it has grown and recovered from shipping to Finland, I am sending some of it to Loh Kwek Leong in Singapore to be identified. So we might know the species some time in the future.

I'll try to find some moss pictures for you, I think I'll be able to find some more in addition to the pictures in my threads here and in my website.

And in the ultimate insult, Loh is going to say, yeah, that is the stuff I sold to Petco in the states as a test to see how long it takes to get back to me

That would be hilarious. About the moss, it's actually really interesting to have possibly three different Fontinalis species in my tank, or subspecies of Fontinalis antipyretica. They look a bit similar, all have the rough feel on them and really hard, uhm, stalk. But they are totally different sizes even though they have grown in same tank in same conditions (the middle size is rather new, from Symbiot, actually, but the newest leaves have grown in my tank). Two bigger ones have more 3D feeling in them and the Petco one is more like 2D. If I'd have to quess, I'd say the middle one is "real" willow moss and the others are either subspecies or totally different Fontinalis species. I hope we'll get some answers from Singapore.

Here's the Petco moss:

Here's all the three suspects (I'll try to get a better picture tomorrow in day time):

The ID:s of the mosses in my picture (Symbiot already knows, but to inform others too) left to right:

Willow moss subspecies, Fontinalis antipyretica var gigantea, willow moss, Fontinalis antipyretica var. antipyretica and stringy moss Leptodictyum riparium (this is the "Petco moss").
