Hi, Ive been in the planted part of the hobby for a couple months now, and I must sya, Id had great success growing plants without using expensive equipments(diy co2, NO bulbs, soil substrate), although algae is still a problem(mostly BBA).

Ive been reading about aquascaping, and I would love to know a website thats about techniques in training plants, especially for the big lotus species.

Thank you.

Not much to training them, if they don't behave you clip them.

"Down, boy, down, I say!" ......"Yelp!!"

The lotus will shoot for the top after a while, so you have to take out all the leaves that start reaching. If one makes it then the word gets around and they all bolt.

Hahahaha...yeah, I read that they do. Btw, the ambulias, and the sunset hygros are doing really well. I need to pull out both and remove half of them...lol.

Now, if only I can train my red lotus to try to stay narrower....lol

Got a good deal oh it though, got a really big bulb(with 6 plantlets, for the price of just one plantlet. Its a monster.

Wow, if I withhold the fertilizer the Vals take the cat hostage.

Sean

Aquascape? I'm a crypt farmer.

It's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore looking like an idiot.

That IS an aquascape, it's titled "The Vacant Lot".
