can u slow down plant growth with pressurized co2 set up?

If i want less frequent pruning and not crazy plant growth, can u still run co2 and have low release and thus slow growth after u reach certain growth?

i was all about lowtech tank til everyone here says my plants are gonna not grow as much and i will hav algae problem with dosing metricide 14(in leu of excel).

also found out some of my plants cant survive with metricide such as vallisneria.

need some good advice.

1. Chose slower growing species, do not chose lots and lots of stem plants.
2 All plant growth starts with light, so less light= less growth. You can do this to the point where the growth is very slow.
3. Cooler temps= cooler temps= slower growth
4. Dosing excel works fine. Particularly if you do the above 3 management tips.
