i just planted my anubias nana and some java ferns into the flourite but i didn't burry the rizome am i ok or would they rot

It's best not to bury a rhizome, yes they do have a tendancy to rot if you do.

Since ANUBA didn't bury the rhizome, it's fine.

I will say this: I didn't know better and did bury my java ferns a bit deeply. However when I got them from Petsmart they had a tiny rhizome, so I just buried it and left the leaves out. It did ok, and now I've pulled up a bit so the rhizome is slightly exposed, and it's much larger and very obvious now.
So even misplanting for 3 weeks can be fixed, especially with a hardy java fern.
