FW planted tank look like Saltwater? LOL

I have a 7g+ cube 12"x12x12.

I thought it would be cool to make it look like a saltwater tank. Thinking white sand with dead rock/coral rock. Round pelia looks like sw plant. What other plants should I use?

Also was thinking a fw goby- which kind?
What other fw fish look like sw?

just messing around on reboot

or go brakish. really dont see many brakish tanks.
if i were to do something like that, id set up a brakish bumblebee goby tank as a riparium with mangroves and maybe some other salt-tolerant plants (talk to hydrophyte, a genius for this sort of thing), and underwater just have some anubias and maybe a small java fern, but mostly rock.

Hope you don't mind me chiming in, but it's really easy, just make your change water the same salinity as the tank by measuring how much reef salt you add per gallon. Since you wont be growing corals or macroalgae, yo don't have to worry about the minerals or lighting that you would in a SW tank. I can't think of many brackish fish small enough for a nano cube tho. Mangroves get huge, but grow very slowly. Java moss and any other plants that could grow in brackish, can still only tolerate very mild salinity, Mangroves and most brackish fish need around 1.010-1.020. You could keep mollies and java fern in mildly brackish water. I'm not sure if that size tank would be big enough for the puffers that require brackish.
Maybe if you want to simulate a SW tank in miniature, use tiny pieces of base rock, maybe some mini Val or Sag to simulate turtle grass, and dwarf (FW) puffers to simulate the larger SW puffers. Just a thought.
