New tank, need advice

So I've decided to get rid of my cichlid tank and I'm gonna replace it with a 20g long. It's gonna be stocked with RCS and some kind of tetras. I was planning on using fluval shrimp stratum for substrate but was wondering if anyone could tell me how much it would take to give me about a 2" bed. I have some amazon swords in another tank that I will be moving to this tank but besides that I'm not sure what is going to be planted in this tank so I'm very open to suggestions. Any help is much appreciated

Also I'm planning on using a 30" fugeray for light if that helps with plant suggestions and very likely goin to be running pressurized co2. I would like to use some kind of very filling foreground plant, possibly Staurogyne repens?? What do y'all think? I'm still a beginner when it comes to plants so bare with me through this experience

i have the fluval 8g planted tank package they sell. it came with one bag of the stuff but i had to buy another to get 2in. i used 1.5 bags for my smaller tank. so my guess is that 3 little bags.... if i were you id just grab the big bag to be safe. sorry i cant help more.

amazon swords can get pretty tall i dont think they would be a good choice for a 12in tall tank.

8g Fluval 1M CT Betta
125g 5 Blood parrots, 1 Green Severum, 8 Dension Barbs, 10 Yoyo Loaches, 1 RTS
75g Angelfish, 3 EBGR, 4 Siames Alage Eaters, 12 Harlequin Rasboars, 1 BN Pleco, 1 Swordtail
33g long cherry shrimp, 8 pygmy corys, 5 ottos
15g 2 GBR
