Worms in My Fish Tank?

Hello everyone...
Im having a problem with some sort of worm type creature (looks like a very small snake bc of how it moves!) that are present in the gravel and/or just floating in the water. I havent seen any signs of these worms attaching themselves to a fish, which buy the way are plain Goldfish (5) in a 60Gal tank using a Fluval 405 (which I love!) - I was going to use some Coppersafe or Maracide, but the lady at Pet Smart said that this would kill my biological filter which sounded like a bad idea at the time. I dont know what else to do, any suggestions?

You should make sure that you rinse your plants thoroughly before adding them to your tank. I really cant think of any other way the eggs could have made it into your tank other than if you added some new fish. Do you quarantine them or at least make sure you dont mix the water from the bag with your aquarium water? In any case.. Try vaccuming the gravel a few times over a course of a couple weeks and see if you can get them out of there. Another thing I hear that works is using a little salt. I cant give you dosing information on that because I've never tried it but maybe some pro's on this forum can help you with that.

Good luck
