Dosing MgS04 & Iron

Curious about dosing MgS04 aka Espom Salt and Iron (how do i know if i my tank is lacking these compounds?)...currently dosing Kno3, K2S04, KH2Po4 in my 10 g. tank...

lighting is 2 x 20 watt cf, diy Co2, kh out of tap is very low, ph around 7...have been EI dosing for about 3 months, still having some problems with diatomous algae (brown fuzzy stuff) and some hair algae choking off some of my plants...

any suggestions?

thanks

Here's a great little link for you: http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua/art_plant_nutrient.htm

Diatoms should disappear all by themselves, the hair algae... check your CO2 levels.

If you have room you could use two DIY CO2 bottles, staggering the dates when you restart them. That would keep the ppm of CO2 more constant, and that helps prevent an algae bloom from starting.
