aggresive fish?

I have 2 gold gorammis(sp.) and 1 gray one. The gray one and one of the gold ones get along great, but the other golden one stays behind my filter all the time. He is smaller, but not a great deal. Are these fish known to be aggresive?

Usually comes down to tank size. If fishies get beaten up it's often because the tank is too small, and they are constantly violating some other fishies territory. Thick plantings can help, but some of the Gouramies for example can be a little territorial, and a 75+ gallon tank goes a long way to keep the peace.

I had 2 gold gouramis and the male died. They were a couple. Always together. So I replaced the male. Now they seem to not get along. Always nipping at one another. They seem to be the same size about 2 - 2 1/2 inches. It seems they don't like each other. (Arranged Marriage) he he. It might also be because my tank is a little over stocked.

Im going to say that its the tank size(10G) Thanks for the replies, and Ill try to increase the plant density. Also, do you think they would be territorial w/ some tetras?
