I have some in my tank and all I am doing with it is trying to understand how it grows, what care it needs that's different, how big it gets, what the effect of high CO2 is on it, etc. If I ever answer all of my questions I will then figure out how I want to use it, or I will get bored with it and start the same with another unfamiliar plant. I am saying this only to point out that we have many different ways of enjoying planted aquaria, and not all are concerned with aquascaping. However, I suspect that as we learn more about the plants, get more comfortable with avoiding algae, and more comfortable with fertilizing, we all will gravitate towards aquascaping. Incidentally I really, really enjoy blyxa japonica!
