Help! Plants came but Tank had to go back!

Ok so I ordered my bolus of fast gorwing stem plants that you guys kindly suggested. Got all of the pretty fast growers. I ordered them when I saw that my tank was to arrive the next day. WELL they came today, but my tank had to go back due to damage in shipping....so in the meantime, how do I keep these babies alive for another 3 weeks when my new tank comes back??? Any thoughts or am I screwed?

Get a large rubbermaid tub, put some substrate in the bottom, lights on top. Treat it just like a tank, but just one that you can't see into.

What Sparrow said. You've got your lights? Lay 'em across the top, or the hood if you've got that. See if you can't hook your filter up to it, or at least get a submersible going to get some water circulation. It'll be cool!

A nice tip I received on putting plants in a bucket: make sure there is some surface agitation. You can use a filter, or I ended up just putting a bubbler in there.

Good Luck, keep us posted!

Might as well throw in a few Danios. Start the cycle and use the water when the re-launch begins...

Fresh Newbie, You might want to take it easy on the amount of light and even the duration 4 or 5 hours is enough. Just enough to keep them pale green and barely happy. What do you have, another 2.5 weeks? Don't wanna let the A monster out of the bag, unless you are already plumbing in your CO2, which you could, I suppose. Chow.beto.
