Exclamation Problem with Tank!!!!!!

So i just started my 10gal aquarium

this is all i have done

i pre-washed my bag of flourite and then put it in the tank and leveled it the way i wanted it. When i poured the water in i put something down to stop it from screwing up my gravel but unfortunatley that didn't work so well and it got screwed up. After that i had the filter on and i added some stress coat.

My water was brown all night yesterday then i woke up today and it was pretty clear but my gravel wasn't level, When i went to fix my gavel the whole tank just reverted to its first state of brown and murkey.

I don't know how to fix this problem, should i wait untill it gets clear again and then try to fix it then wait even longer.

or is their a better way

p.s i would really like my gravel to be level

I would say that you didnt rinse the flourite enough. You could take to all out and rinse it again

i did that the first time i used it , i had a mud puttle. the second time i used it i dumped it in a bucket and rinsed it in a strainer one cup at a time it took forever. I still got a brown dust and when i rearrange i still get a little cloud . I put a old filter pad in the tank and let it run for a week and ocassionally hit the gravel with a turkey baster to float the dust on the surface so the filter could take care of it . Very clear now but if i dig ill get dust.

Rinse rinse rinse. Then just for good measure... repeat the previous steps

Also, having a filter going will help to clear the water.

You can use a gravel vac to suck out all the water that you can. Refill slowly with plate or something on top of the gravel. This should clear it up a little, repeat if it isn't clear enough.
