Fertilizers, et al.

hello, i'm just wondering if SERA Florapride does any good for planted tanks..
there are lots of plant varieties here in the Philippines, but the thing is, there is only one brand of fertilizer available.

I'm also planning to make my own fertilizer. (a PMDD of sorts)

since there's no chalated trace minerals here, i decide to buy from a Chem Lab.

Which would be better, Potassium Chloride or Potassium Sulfate?
I'm wondering what would be their effects in the long run?
Do they change the ph significantly?

Other chemicals i'm planning to buy include Iron (i dunno if Ferrous sulfate is appropriate.) and Epsom Salts.

Not Nitrate, i don't think my tank needs it.

thanks very much.
