Angry Ack, snails eating glosso!

I was wondering wether the glosso I has planted the other week was just having a tough time getting started, but I just saw one of my Asoline Spixi snail chowing down on one of its leaves.

They are generally nice snails not touching any of my mosses or other plants, but it ate a glosso leaf in about 10 seconds. All I have left are pretty much twigs. Its a shame... why can't they all just get along.

Somebody set us up the tank!

I have a bunch of mystery snails that never bothered live plants. Imagine my dismay when they mowed down my downoi! They do taste pretty good if bathed in garlic and butter (just kidding).

I wonder if the Glosso was emmersed growth and is dying off a little as it is converting over to submersed growth and the snail is munching on the dying tissue (as snails do).

Leave the bits of Glosso your snail has been kind enough to leave behind and let's see what happens.

I imagine that it was emmersed growth since I bought it at a LFS, but it showed not signs of dying or stress. The leaf was green and healthy. I will definitly keep what is left in the tank to see what happens, no harm in that I guess.

Thanks for the responses!
