Roots growing from side of stems..

This is happening quite alot now and it does it very quickly.

By Baby Tears and Hygrophilia Polysperma have lots of roots coming from the side of the stems. What does this mean?
Plus, is it a good idea to cut just below where the roots are and replant the cutting?

My watersprite does that. I just clip it where the roots start and replant in my holding tank.
