Fish/plant stores that are must see in the SF

I will be going to Pleasanton CA on a business trip on the 19th of March. Any suggestions on stores I should try and see while I am there? I live in New Mexico and there is not much here.

The Pleasanton area stinks for fish stores. Are you going in to San Francisco at all? or willing/able to drive for a bit?

Edit -check out this link for stores and links to maps:

I live pretty close to Pleasanton. I actually drive to All About Fish, Octopus' Garden, & Albany as they are the best that I have seen in the east bay.

I have never been to San Francisco fish stores but I hear good things about Ocean Aquarium, Aqua Forest, & 6th Ave.

SF stores

In SF,
"Ocean Aquarium" is awesome,
it looks like the store where the dude bought the Mogwai in Gremlins.
Justin has some amazing rare fish there, and great plants.

"Aquaforest" is great too.
They carry ADA stuff, which is pretty rare.

You can find addresses by doing a google search.

One of these days I will make it to SF. I really want to go to aqua forest after looking at their website recently.

AquaForest! (they give a 10% discount on wet goods if you belong to a club too)

i'd skip 6th ave unless you're looking for dry goods. they have some really good deals but don't seem to get into anything too unique.

be careful going to ocean or aquaforest, you might end up rescheduling your return flight allow you time to buy something before you fly out. i've planned flights just to minimize time in transit for the live fish
