sanitizing the tank

So today i had to euthanize one of my bettas Now i have a extra 5 gallon tank....i want to sanitize it because he died of a fungus infection.....how would i go about doing that with out leaving any chemicals behind in the gravel????? I also have a bio-wheel on the tank, will it carry the fungus???? If so how do i treat it with out harming the helpful bacteria???
Thanks for your help

I'm not sure about the bio wheel but the tank can be sanatized with bleach rinsed well and then a high concentration of declorinator will remove the rest

You can probably just spray a dilute (20:1) bleach solution on the bio wheel and let it dwell for a few minutes and rinse it off. That goes with the tank too. No need to use a super concentrated bleach solution.
