Should I bring back some water lettuce?

So I'm currently in the Bahamas on vacation. Couldn't help but notice that one of the swamps is full of giant water lettuce. I could put it in my check bag. Should I try to grab some and bring it back?

Knock yourself out However, you could experience issues with U.S. Immigration and Customs. Taking vegetation from one country to another is usually a big NO NO without a license, especially when bringing into the United States. It is not taken lightly and therefore something that should be avoided.

Importing vegetation from one country to another requires strict paperwork. Importing without such paperwork is illegal.
