Amazon Swords

Hey I have about 4 amazon swords in my tank and there getting really big and have let out 1 shoot each. So I have 4 big ones and 4 really tiny ones. I just wanted to know if I trim leaves all the way at the bottom of the stem can it be replanted???? I hear people say they spread there amazon plants how do they do that????

The shoots will form small plants on them (many in my swords). These will form roots as well. You can pull or cut these small plants off, and plant them. They grow fast! I have many more than I can use.

The leaves themselves will not grow into new plants, as far as I know.

I have a species of large amazon sword that doesn't put out runners at all. You have to uproot the plant and basicky cut it in 1/2 with a razor balde. I dont know any other way to clone the plant?

75 gallon, fillstar xp2 with inline reactor, 12 Lb pressurised co2, 4.2 WPG-corallife 3x96 watt PC-, fluorite/silica-sand substright.
