3-4 days w/o CO2

Took my tank in to be refilled and learned it had to be re-tested, which will take 3-4 days.
Any thoughts on whether I should tweak my tank during this time?
Cut down my ferts?
Reduce my max photoperiod (now 130w for 11 hrs, 260 for 3)?

It took only a day when my co2 got disconnected for huge algae growth to occur. I had gsa and hair algae and a bunch of other stuff growing.

Cutting ferts won't do much. I would run the tank with low light and as little as possible. A 3-4 day semi blackout won't kill the plants, It might even do the tank some good. Just make sure your tank is getting enough o2.

You could use Excel during this period. It will work.

Either reduce your lighting to low-light levels using a full photoperiod and cut the ferts in half or black the tank out completely.

Hook up a DIY CO2 set up. That should last enough time until you get your tank back.

Just realized that I will be needing to get my tank filled soon. I suppose I will need to get the old DIY out.

If you try to DIY a 55g, be sure you can provide levels of Co2 comparable to your pressurized setup and that those levels stay consistent. If you can't do that, don't try it at all. Inconsistent levels of Co2 with a lighting schedule designed for high, consistent levels is not a good thing to try. Low light is not a 4-letter word, especially for just a few days.

Will keep you posted.

It might be a little late but many places simply Swap your empty cylinder for a full one, you could call around.

Yeah - too late this time around.
In your experience, will shops perform a swap for an out-of-date tank?
I wouldn't think so.
