Out of C02

I just ran out of Co2 and will not be able to fill it for about a week..What is my best course of action to prevent a major algae outbreak or other problems. I dose EI with 2 36 inch ho bulbs on my 65g tank.

all thought welcome.

Thanks

You could remove a lightbulb, reducing the light and slowing down the plants. Depending on what plants you have and how delicate they are, this may or may not work.

Another option is a DIY co2 setup, but for a tank that large you'd need multiple reactor chambers.. but that would definitely hold you over for a week.

reducing light intensity is ur best bet
drop one bulb cut time to 8 hours per day
leave it this way for one week after u get co2 going that way plants have time to adjust to the changes again

I blacked the tank out for 2-3 days after I ran out of CO2 and couldn't fill up for a few days. After I brought it back some of the more delicate plants were in a bit of a rough shape, but the algae that I had in there before was pretty much gone.
