New Planted Tank... Advice please
Hey everyone, new member...
Anyway, here goes... I have recently swapped my Oscars from my tank in the office to my home tank (They outgrew it). So I have decided to do something different with my office tank. I've left it running as was, although added some rocks/bogwood to make it look more interesting.
I have the Fluval Roma 240 which I've had for around 2 years now. I want to get into planting the tank, but don't really know where to get started. I used to have the long grass stuff as a natural back to this tank a while back but that's about it in terms of plants.
I have purchased an arcadia twin light controller and am going to fit 2x t5's and upgrade the reflectors on the T8's and I have already made up a DIY co2 setup.
I have got a breeding pair of Kribensis in the tank at the moment, but really just after advice! I've had problems with green algae in the past, but think this was to do with excessive waste from the Oscars and frankly them being too large a bioload for the tank. I'd like to keep the kribs and maybe a couple of plecs and then just go quite heavily planted, but wanted opinions or advice on how to move forward.
Thanks a lot in advance for your kind tips and advice.
