Do I have enough light?
I'm new to planted aquariums and I'm getting mine all set up.
I have a 46gal bowfront with 2 Amazon Swords, 1 Anubias and 3 Java Ferns so far. I also put in a DIY CO2 generator today.
I have a double T5 light fixture with a total wattage of 42W. I figure that puts me at right about 1W per gallon. I also have a single bulb T8 that puts out 25W that isn't set up right now. Should I add the other fixture to bump me up to 67W total, or am I good with the 42W alone?
I plan on adding more plants as I can afford them, and I want to make sure I have enough light without overdoing it.
My tank is fully cycled and I've stocked with 6 tiger barbs so far. I plan on 12 eventually but don't want to add them too fast.
Also, here's a picture of my tank so far!
