65 gallon aquarium

So I was looking around at LFS today that sells used tanks.... and they had a 65 gallon tank with the stand for 120 bucks....

If only I had the money... next time I go in it will probably be gone.

That reminds me, I don't really ever hear of people having these. seems like nice dimensions for a tank.

Nice find. The reason people dont often get that tank is because it is so tall. Not ideal for planted tanks or swimming room for the fish.

I love the tall tanks. I think they're more unique, but thats just me. I'm sure there are plenty of species though that would do just fine in that amount of room.

It was a great deal, though, too, considering they're 349.99 or more brand new at Petsmart.

Oh yes it is a great amount of space for most community fish. Just for some bigger more active fish need more room side to side even though its a big tank

Such as angels, discus, etc?

I'm contemplating possibly buying this. It seems like too good of a deal to pass up. Even though I just got my 56 gallon like, 2 months ago lol

My first big tank was my 65, paid 120 for the tank, stand and light. Was new in box but garaged for a decade. I'd love another or a double wide version!

I have a 65 gallon tank, and think it has great proportions for a planted tank. The 18 inch front to back distance is great for achieving a nice aquascape.

I have a 65g as a species only tank of Aulonocara Lemon Jake's. I love the tank, although do need to get some more slate. I don't have a full tank shot, i'll try to get one tonight.

I just picked up a 36x18x24 65 gal with built in overflow and pine stand for $120 off CL. I already have a 55 and 150 gal planted FW tanks so this one is going to be a reef (sorry).
